For the students of Washington Leadership Academy to hear the voices of the women who shaped the Civil Rights Movement and evaluate the impact they still have on us today.

The Impact of Your Donation

Feed our minds!

A $10-$20 donation makes it possible for us to buy lunch for students along the way and buy tickets to museums like the National Voting Rights Museum in Selma, AL or the Equal Justice Museum in Montgomery, AL.

Get us there!

We’re chartering a bus to take us from Washington, DC to some very iconic places further south, including the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, AL. A $50 donation will help ensure we have the gas to get us there!

Sponsor a student!

Each of our students is expected to raise $250 towards their trip, so a donation of this amount would go a long way in helping our students meet their goal and launch on their journey!

Here’s our itinerary:

April 14th: Baltimore, MD to visit Bowie State and Morgan State Universities, the HBCU Museum, and the Harriet Tubman Underground Railroad Visitors Center

April 15th: Greensboro, NC to visit Bennett College and take a Civil Rights Bus Tour

April 16th: Atlanta, GA to visit Spelman College and The King Center
